I've felt it many times, either to achieve something or to lead the life i want which i can only if i colour outside the lines.

Finally, the day has come, to stretch myself out of comfort zone and start journey towards my passion.

Feeling the desire to come out of one's comfort zone can be a positive sign of personal growth and development. It involves taking risks, facing fears, and embracing new experiences.

Here are a few steps you can take to come out of your comfort zone:

Identify your comfort zone: Reflect on the areas of your life where you feel most comfortable and where you tend to avoid taking risks or trying new things. This could be related to your career, relationships, hobbies, or personal growth.
For me apart from dealing with patients, locking myself in a room with light music on, a cup of coffee, my writing and painting stuff is my hidey-hole. What's yours?

Set clear goals: Determine what you want to achieve by stepping out of your comfort zone. Having specific goals will give you direction and motivation. Start with small, achievable goals and gradually work your way up to bigger challenges.

Take small steps: Begin by taking small steps outside your comfort zone. This could be trying a new activity, speaking up in a meeting, or initiating a conversation with someone you don't know well. Each small step you take will build your confidence and make it easier to tackle bigger challenges.

Embrace discomfort: Understand that discomfort is a natural part of growth. Accept that you may feel anxious or uncertain when trying new things, and remind yourself that it's a temporary feeling. Embracing discomfort can help you push through barriers and expand your boundaries.

Challenge negative thoughts: Negative thoughts and self-doubt often arise when we step outside our comfort zone, that’s common. It’s okay to challenge those thoughts by replacing them with positive and empowering affirmations. Remind yourself of your strengths, capabilities, and past successes even if they are modest.

Seek support: Surround yourself with supportive and like-minded individuals like your family members, friends, or anyone who will encourage your personal growth. They can provide valuable insights, advice, and accountability as you venture into new territory.

Learn from failures: Accept that setbacks and failures are part of the learning process. Instead of viewing them as a reflection of your abilities, see them as opportunities for growth and improvement. Analyse what went wrong, extract lessons, and use that knowledge to adjust your approach moving forward.

I feel, coming out of your comfort zone is a personal journey, and it's important to go at your own pace.
Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they are, and be patient with yourself. With time and practice, you'll become more comfortable with discomfort and open yourself up to new possibilities and personal growth.
